Many economists and industry executives believe that the U.S. must act quickly to approve free trade agreements because they increase the competitiveness and job creation. As my students know the economics, Mankiw is one of the key principles that “free trade that everyone can do better.” Certainly, free trade improves the effectiveness of the promotion of economic growth. By removing barriers, trade with countries, we are creating to see an increase in U.S. exports and employment. Consumers will benefit through lower domestic firms succumb to cheap foreign competition.
